Dr. Tim Chaney and his wife, Jess, joined Fellowship Bible Church in February 2010. Tim started at Fellowship as the Director of Family Ministry and faithfully led in that role for five years. In January 2015, he was called to serve as Lead Pastor, where he continues to shepherd the church today.
Tim earned a degree in Student Ministry from Union University and a Master of Divinity from Columbia Biblical Seminary. He also holds a Doctor of Ministry in Pastoral Counseling from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (graduated 2023).
Tim and Jess met in college and were married in 2008. They are grateful parents of three children. Their oldest daughter, Eden, was born in August 2012, and their youngest daughter, Karis, was born in February 2016. In August 2019, God expanded their family through adoption when their son, Jericho, joined the Chaney family.
Having grown up in church, Tim trusted in Christ at a young age. He is passionate about seeing the church awakened to the needs of a hurting world and mobilized to serve with gospel intentionality. As Lead Pastor, he is committed to faithfully teaching Scripture in its original context and calling the church to holy living and disciple-making throughout the Dalton-Whitfield community.
“But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.”
